The photographs show the nitrogen ice to grow and shrink, becoming more clear in the north and darker in the south. Astronomers say Pluto is changing but the surfaces of other bodies in the solar system. This is surprising because one season lasts 120 years in some regions of Pluto.
Although Pluto was a planet, astronomers demoted in 2006, calling it a dwarf planet.
