Professionals and scholars of political communication Spanish count from this weekend with a partnership that will promote the improvement of professional practice and disseminate the findings of university researchers.

The founding congress of ACoP, Association for Communication Policy, was held on 8 and May 9 in Madrid. The group emerged in 2005 under the name INCOPO (Researchers in Political Communication), already has hundreds of members from Spain, Latin America and Europe. Sponsored by Dan Hallin, renowned professor at the University of California at San Diego, those attending the inaugural meeting took the opportunity to discuss the results of a study on communication government in Spain. Carried by the Professor of the Universidad Complutense Maria Jose Canel, the investigation concluded that the Government’s communication is rudimentary and lacks a defined strategy.
